Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Begin by dicing the white onion into medium pieces for even cooking. Slice the beef roast against the grain into thin strips.
  2. In your slow cooker, layer in the sliced beef, diced onion, and pour in 1 cup of beef broth, along with the other sauce ingredients.
  3. Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or low for 6 hours.
  4. Once the beef is tender, mix arrowroot flour with water until dissolved, then pour into the slow cooker.
  5. Add the chopped broccoli florets to the slow cooker, cover, and cook on low for another 10 to 15 minutes.
  6. Once the broccoli is bright green and tender, give the dish a final stir and adjust seasoning if necessary.
