Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. Macerate the strawberries with granulated sugar for 30 minutes, then strain.
  3. Melt the unsalted butter and allow it to cool.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, cardamom, and salt.
  5. Mash the bananas and mix with sugars, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
  6. Fold the banana mixture into dry ingredients and add melted butter.
  7. Fold in the macerated strawberries and pour into the pan.
  8. Bake for 55-65 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
  9. Cool in the pan for 30 minutes, then on a wire rack.
  10. Mix reserved strawberry syrup and powdered sugar to prepare the glaze.
  11. Brush the glaze over the cooled bread, slice, and serve.
