  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise or Greek yogurt for lighter twist
  • 2 tablespoons Butter, melted or mozzarella/parmesan for cheese
  • 2 cloves Grated Garlic fresh is best
  • 2 scallions Thinly Sliced Scallions or chives as substitute
  • to taste Black Pepper adjust to preference
For the Base
  • 1 loaf Baguette or Ciabatta slice no thicker than 1 inch
For the Garnish
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Basil, thinly sliced can be omitted

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C).
  2. Chop the shrimp into small pieces or pulse them in a food processor until coarsely chopped.
  3. In a bowl, combine chopped shrimp, mayonnaise, melted butter, grated garlic, scallions, and black pepper.
  4. Slice the baguette or ciabatta in half lengthwise and arrange on a baking sheet cut side up.
  5. Spread the shrimp mixture generously onto the cut side of the bread.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15–18 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil, and serve immediately.
