  • 1 box Chocolate Pudding Variations can include vanilla pudding.
  • 2 cups Whole Milk Non-dairy milk alternatives can be used.
  • 8 oz Cool Whip Substitution: stabilized whipped cream.

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine devil's food cake mix, oil, water, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  5. Pour chocolate cake batter into the baking dish and layer the ricotta mixture on top.
  6. Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly jiggly.
  7. While cooling, prepare frosting with chocolate pudding mix and whole milk, then fold in Cool Whip.
  8. Once cooled, frost the cake with the chocolate pudding mixture and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
