Ingredients
  

For the Tea
  • 2 cups Water divided into two portions for brewing and pureeing
  • 2 bags Black Tea Bags or use loose leaf tea for a fresher taste
For the Mango Mixture
  • 1 large Ripe Mango fresh is best, frozen may be used
  • 2 cups Water for boiling the mango
  • 2 tablespoons Honey adjust to taste, can substitute with agave syrup
For Serving
  • as needed Ice consider using frozen mango juice cubes
  • as needed Additional Mango Slices for garnish and extra flavor

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Boil 2 cups of water in a kettle or saucepan over medium-high heat. Once boiling, add the black tea bags and steep for 10 minutes before removing them.
  2. Chop a ripe mango into small pieces. In a separate saucepan, combine it with 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer for 10 minutes, mashing periodically.
  3. Carefully strain the mango mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into the pitcher with the brewed tea, pressing to extract as much puree as possible.
  4. Stir in honey while the mixture is still warm until dissolved. Adjust sweetness to taste.
  5. Allow to cool for 10 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving over ice, garnished with mango slices.
