Base Preparation
- In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, combine 2 cups of whole milk, 1 cup of heavy cream, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 8 ounces of chopped white chocolate. Stir continuously to prevent sticking until it begins to simmer and the chocolate is melted—about 5-7 minutes.
- Carefully add a few drops of green food coloring. Stir well until the color is uniform. Keep on low heat for an additional minute.
- Remove from heat and pour the hot chocolate into mugs, filling them about three-quarters full.
- Top each mug with mini marshmallows and sprinkle red heart candies or festive sprinkles.
- Serve immediately while warm.
