  • 1 cup fresh strawberries hulled and chopped
  • 3 tablespoons sugar either white or light brown
For the Drink
  • 1 cup milk cold whole milk or your choice of dairy/plant-based milk
  • 1 cup ice cubes essential for serving

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Hull and rinse the strawberries under cold water, remove the green tops, and chop them.
  2. In a saucepan, combine chopped strawberries and sugar, stir and cook for 5-7 minutes until syrupy.
  3. Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the strawberry syrup into a glass, add ice cubes, and pour in the cold milk.
  4. Garnish with reserved chopped strawberries and stir gently before serving.
