- In a large mixing bowl, beat together the canned sweet potatoes, granulated sugar, eggs, butter, half and half cream, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Spoon the sweet potato mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Stir in the chopped pecans and melted butter until combined.
- Press the pecan topping over the sweet potato layer and bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly.
- Allow the casserole to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
