Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  3. Brush the bottom of a 9-inch round baking dish with the butter-oil mixture.
  4. Thinly slice russet potatoes aiming for 1/8 inch thick.

  6. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes until edges are golden.
  7. After 1 hour, sprinkle fresh thyme sprigs and bake for an additional 35 minutes.
