Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare your workspace and gather all necessary ingredients and equipment.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cold leftover mashed potatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, lightly beaten eggs, all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Stir until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into balls about the size of a ping pong ball. Place the shaped puffs on a clean plate.
  4. Roll each potato ball in breadcrumbs until fully coated. Arrange the puffs back on the plate.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and transfer the coated puffs, spacing them about an inch apart.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with dips.
