Step‑by‑Step Instructions

  2. Stir in 2 minced garlic cloves and 1 tablespoon of grated ginger, cooking for an additional minute.
  3. Add 1 sliced red bell pepper into the pot, cooking for 3-4 minutes until it softens.
  4. Pour in 1 can of coconut milk and 2 cups of fish or chicken broth, stirring well and bringing to a gentle simmer.
  5. Add 3 tablespoons of lime juice, 1 tablespoon of fish sauce, and 1 teaspoon of sugar. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Gently add 1 pound of white fish fillets cut into bite-sized pieces into the simmering soup. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in 1/4 cup of freshly chopped cilantro.
