  • 1 cup whole rolled oats gluten-free oats serve as a substitute
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds can be omitted for a thinner texture
  • 4 ounces cream cheese dairy-free cream cheese for a vegan option
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt coconut yogurt as a dairy-free alternative
For the Sweetness
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup honey or agave syrup can be substitutes
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract pure vanilla extract preferred
For the Liquid Base
  • 1 cup almond milk any dairy or non-dairy milk works
For the Freshness
  • 1 cup blueberries fresh or thawed frozen blueberries

Method
 

Mix Ingredients
  1. In a large bowl, combine whole rolled oats, chia seeds, cream cheese, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and almond milk. Whisk together vigorously for about 2 minutes until the mixture is smooth and well-combined. Allow the mixture to sit for 5–10 minutes.
Prepare Blueberries
  1. If using frozen blueberries, place them in a small bowl to thaw. Once thawed, gently mash the blueberries with a fork, pouring off any excess liquid, and set aside.
Portion into Jars
  1. Take five small jars and evenly distribute the creamy oat mixture into each one, filling them about three-quarters full. Layer the mashed blueberries on top or swirl them in.
Refrigerate
  1. Seal each jar with a lid and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or preferably overnight.
Serve
  1. Remove a jar from the fridge and enjoy cold or warm in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Add toppings if desired.
