Spaghetti Carbonara Recipe

Spaghetti Carbonara is a classic Italian dish that is easy to make and incredibly delicious. This pasta dish is made with eggs, bacon, Parmesan cheese, and black pepper, creating a creamy and flavorful sauce that coats the noodles perfectly. It’s a dish that is perfect for any occasion from a quick weeknight dinner to a fancy dinner party.

– 1 pound spaghetti
– 1/2 pound bacon, diced
– 4 egg yolks
– 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– Salt, to taste

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti and set it aside.

2. In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium-high heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet with a slotted spoon and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain.

3. In a small bowl, whisk together egg yolks, Parmesan cheese, and black pepper.

4. Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the bacon. Toss everything together until the spaghetti is coated with bacon fat.

5. Remove the skillet from the heat and pour the egg mixture over the spaghetti. Toss everything together until the eggs are cooked and the spaghetti is coated in a creamy sauce. If the pasta seems too dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached.

6. Serve hot with additional Parmesan cheese and black pepper.

Enjoy your delicious spaghetti carbonara!
